Gifts for all Types of Mom

Mother's Day is right around the corner. Spending over a decade working with moms, I have learned that motherhood comes in many forms and celebrating all kinds of Moms is important! The day should be celebrated with not only seasoned and new moms, but moms-to-be! Recognizing another group of moms is very important as well, I call them rainbow moms. They are the mothers who have lost a baby. This holiday can be emotional. If you know anyone who has lost a child, please remember them on Mother's Day.

Water Bottle or Tumbler

I don’t know about you, but I can never have enough water bottles! I especially love ones that show the world I have tiny humans that call me mom. It makes for a great a conversation starter and it makes me smile when I reach for my water. Customizing may not be your (or your moms) thing, so you can go simple and big with a 40oz insulated tumbler. Summer is just around the corner and this will be great to keep hydrated. Plus the bottom has a smaller diameter and cupholder friendly!

Spa Gift Card

If your mom has a spa she likes to frequent, let me suggest a gift card! If she is more into pampering herself at home, try gifting her with this gift set.

Fanny Pack Diaper Bag

You read that right - a compact bag worn around the hip equipped with a changing pad and place to put some wipes. An easy and functional fashion piece. They come in a few different colors too. Choose her fav!

Slippers

An easy gift for any mom. There are so many colors and patterns and styles. Keep in mind the weather, often these slip on open toed slippers are best to keep feet cool.

Aromatherapy Eye Pillow

This falls in line with the spa and relaxation - but this is little something to help mom unwind and pairing it with a scent enhances the experience.

Mom’s One Line a Day Journal

One of the most time friendly and simplest way to record your day to day. Each page is topped with the month and day. Underneath there are 5 entries with just a few lines each. You record the year and write a line or two for each day. This journal is designed to lasts five years. It is so easy to record something funny the kids say or do and so e look back on each day as you progress. One of my favorite gifts to give!

Mommy & Me Outfits

Here is a fun option for the kids to gift mom! She will love having something special to wear together.

Plants

A fun activity for the kids to do with mom. Start a flower garden and enjoy watching them grow. If you want to bring butterflies to your yard, consider this packet of seeds to attract them!

Nursing Nightgown

Make the new mom in your life smile with a new nightgown. Bonus points if its a nursing nightgown and she is currently breastfeeding!

Matching Robes

This is a great option if baby enjoys being swaddled, a matching robe with swaddle is a fun way to coordinate.

Ring Sling

This type of baby carrier is one of my favorites. It’s lightweight and simple to use. It can be easily washed and small enough to carry around in a diaper bag. The ring sling can be used as an infant, all the way up to toddler. Video tutorials are available for how to use - it really is easy.

Momee Coffee

Coffee is a good gift in general (Umm hello… caffeine), but this brand was mad by moms, for moms. Their unique roasting process produces a coffee that is lower in Chlorogenic Acid and higher in beneficial anti-oxidants. New and expecting moms are more at risk for heartburn and acid reflux so having a low acid coffee can help them. Their coffee comes in four different caffeine levels so there are many options to choose from.

Footprint or Handprint Art

The possibilities here are endless. You can buy a kit online and do it together with Mom, or come up with your own creative idea (search Pinterest - you will be amazing at the level of creativity)!

Basket of Snacks

This one will be hard to buy already made. You are going to have to put a little time into this. Every new mom, at some point, will be nap trapped, or just too tired to get up and get food. Making a basket for mom to keep by her spot on the couch will allow her to stay nourished and rested. When building the basket, keep in mind a mix of salty and sweet options, high protein is also key. You can throw in some drinks, or even some of the drink mix-ins. LMNT Electrolytes are great for staying hydrated.

Birth Flower Necklace

We have all heard of a birth stone, did you know that each month has a flower as well? These necklaces with the flower engraved on a small disc make a beautiful gift. You can even get multiple flowers on one necklaces as well to showcase all her kids.

Diaper Bag Organizer Pouches

When having to rummage through a large bag looking for a diaper and clean pair of clothes, this would be a much easier task if stuff was organized into pouches. These are a great gift to help make diaper changes a little less stressful.

Haakaa

This is a silicone manual breast pump. Many use this while breastfeeding. They place it on the opposite breast and the milk drips into the pump during let down and can be used to drink or store later.

Promptly Journal

What makes this gift so great is the journal is full of prompts, so you are guided throughout the whole thing. This is a pregnancy and baby memory book. Record every stage of your child's early years from pregnancy through age 18.

Stretch marks are hereditary, but with the belly oil, it may lessen them or maybe even prevent them. What the oil does do, it relieves the itch skin associated with their growing belly.
